Tribute
A gift to honor or memorialize a person is a great way to remember someone while helping LCS chaplains serve others. Our office will acknowledge all gifts in writing and will send a personalized letter to the honoree informing them of your gift.
Matching Gifts
You can increase your gift to LCS if your employer, or your spouse’s employer, has a gift-matching program that matches all or a part of qualifying donations. Check with the Human Resources Department to see if your employer (or your spouses’) matches gifts.
Stock, Securities and Mutual Funds
Market conditions have created an ideal giving opportunity for stocks and bonds, which you can transfer to LCS with tax savings for you.
Real Estate
You may give private, commercial or agricultural property to LCS. If you are considering such a gift, please contact Beth Vanadia at bvanadia@spiritualcare.org so that we can work together to decide the best use of your gift.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are commitments that are arranged today but usually come to LCS after your lifetime. Some examples include designating a gift in your will, or designating LCS as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. Your planned gift helps to ensure the ability of our chaplains to provide spiritual care for patients, families, and the staff who work with them far into the future, while matching your overall financial planning goals. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
Thrivent members can make a donation to LCS through the Thrivent Choice program which has replaced the Giving Plus program. Through Thrivent Choice, members help make decisions on where Thrivent Financial distributes a portion of its charitable funds each year.
The program is divided into two parts: Voting Events and Choice Dollars.
Through Voting Events, members can vote to direct funds to national organizations selected by Thrivent. Voting Events occur one or two times each year. Choice Dollars are designated to eligible benefit members who choose where to direct their dollars from Lutheran organization nationwide, including Lutheran Chaplaincy Service.
Please consider supporting Lutheran Chaplaincy Service with your eligible Choice Dollars. To do this, simply notify Thrivent of the portion of your dollars that you would like designated for Lutheran Chaplaincy Service.
